Last year I made and won my 2nd biggest win of my life with Chris Sale 75-1 to the NL Cy Young (next to the 2023 Diamondbacks to win the National League):
So this year I want to take some time, comb through these 2025 futures and see if anything pops out. Let’s first start with my overall 2025 MLB predictions:
NL West
1 Dodgers
2 D-Backs (WC)
3 Giants
4 Padres
5 Rockies
LA-ARI-SF trifecta is +450 at Draft Kings
NL Central
1 Reds
2 Cubs
3 Brewers
4 Pirates
5 Cardinals
CIN-CHC-MIL trifecta is 30-1 at Draft Kings. Reds to win NL Central is +650. I’m really intrigued by the depth in their lineup + I’m expecting big things from Hunter Greene & Nick Lodolo with Chase Burns & Rhett Lowder coming down the pipeline too.
NL East
1 Phillies
2 Braves (WC)
3 Mets (WC)
4 Nationals
5 Marlins
PHI-ATL-NYM trifecta is +425 at Draft Kings.
AL East
1 Orioles
2 Red Sox (WC)
3 Yankees (WC)
4 Rays
5 Blue Jays
BAL-BOS-NYY trifecta is 19-1 at Draft Kings. Orioles have signed a lot of pitching depth and have waves of hitting prospects to remain an elite regular season team. Red Sox have their wave of bats coming plus added Bregman & Crochett. Yankees have been killed by injuries, lost Soto and just have really bad vibes right now.
AL Central
1 Royals
2 Tigers
3 Guardians
4 Twins
5 White Sox
KC-DET-CLE trifecta is 13-1 at Draft Kings. This should be a really tight division, but Ben Lively being the CLE SP2 mixed with them losing Naylor and just not adding to a weak offense makes me think a rising Tigers and Royals pass them. I like the Royals pitching staff and offense more than the Tigers right now.
AL West
1 Rangers
2 Astros (WC)
3 Athletics
4 Mariners
5 Angels
TEX-HOU-SAC trifecta pays 20-1. I love the Rangers offseason with a healthy deGrom. Astros could take a step back as they turn to a younger team. The Mariners have a dreadful offense that added nothing and Kirby is injured already. I think this fun A’s team will surprise some teams.
World Series prediction? D-Backs get revenge on the Rangers in the 2025 World Series. Rangers 9-1 to win AL, D-Backs 13-1 to win NL, 25-1 to win World Series. D-Backs over Rangers exact result is 200-1.
Let’s dive into award predictions next:
AL MVP: Bobby Witt Jr (+450)
Witt just hit .332 in a 30/30 season, I got the Royals taking a step forward to win the AL Central and Witt continuing to be a grow as a superstar.
NL MVP: Elly De La Cruz (+1500)
Ohtani is +170… but if EDLC hit 30+ HR and steals around 67 bases again mixed with my Reds to win the division take could put him in the MVP race.
AL Cy Young: Garrett Crochet (+450)
Full workload in 2025 coming.
NL Cy Young: Paul Skenes (+300)
Paul Skenes full season.
AL Rookie of the Year: Kristian Campbell (+800)
Has a chance to make MLB roster Opening Day, Red Sox are willing to piss off Devers to make room for him, so the talent is legit.
NL Rookie of the Year: Chase Burns (+4000)
Could be 2025 Paul Skenes, dude struck out 200 hitters in his final college season.
LONG SHOT/OTHER BETS I LIKE:
Cam Smith 15-1 AL ROY, mashing this Spring, was the return in the Kyle Tucker trade.
Justin Martinez 20-1, AJ Puk 25-1 RP of the Year, homer pick….
Terry Francona (CIN) NL Manager of the Year +550
Mark Kotsay (A’s) 10-1 AL Manager of the Year 10-1
Bryan Woo AL Cy young 35-1 dominant Spring, gets to pitch in Seattle, 2.92 ERA last year needs to stay healthy.
Gavin Williams AL Cy Young 70-1, Guardians need him to become an ace to get back into the playoffs. 21 K’s in 12.1 IP this Spring.
Hunter Greene NL Cy Young 22-1, elite just needs to make all 32 starts.
Spencer Schwellenbach 35-1 NL Cy Young
Corey Seager AL MVP 16-1 over 30 HR last year playing just 2/3 games
Ketel Marte NL MVP 25-1 because I’m a homer
To finish up, here are some fun other bets I found on Draft Kings:
-Victor Scott to lead MLB in SB’s 40-1 (94 SB’s in 132 MiLB games in 2023, just won the starting CF job)
-Steven Kwan to lead MLB in hits 19-1 (140 hits in 122 games, only 2 players got to 200+ last year, full 162 game pace last year 185 hits)
-Corbin Carroll to lead MLB in triples +475 (14 tied Jarren Duran for 1st last year)
Draft Kings ERA Props
Sasaki over 3.00 -240
Schwellenbach under 4.00 -115
Hunter Brown under 4.00 -110
Huge shoutout to Draft Kings for their large pre-season selection of props!
