Diamondbacks Giveaways are so back
Pitchers & catchers have reported to camp, Spring Training games start Friday, and the 2024 promotional calendar has been released. We are so back.
Let’s jump right into it, here are my 2024 Diamondbacks giveaways power rankings.
#1 NL Champions Replica Ring (August 10th vs PHI)
There’s some great bobbleheads this year, BUT the replica NL Champs ring takes the #1 spot for 2 reasons:
It’s unique, I’m not sure if the 2002 season gave out 2001 rings, but this is the first replica ring I’ve ever gotten as a Diamondbacks fan. When I visited Busch Stadium 6 years ago they were hanging out replica Cardinals WS rigs from the Bob Gibson era and they were pretty sweet. They had 6 different versions with 6 different players names on them, which would be a cool wrinkle if the Diamondbacks did it too.
THEY’RE HANDING THEM OUT AGAINST THE PHILLIES! WHAT A TROLL! HOW AWESOME WILL IT BE SEEING PHILLIES FANS BE HANDED 2023 NLCS CHAMPS DIAMONDBACKS RINGS, HA!
#2 Gabriel Moreno Gold Glove Bobblehead (May 4th vs SD)
A few months ago this is the exact promotion I wanted to see the most.
The next Yadier Molina in Gabriel Moreno won his first of hopefully many Gold Gloves. I’m a huge fan of bobbleheads that have something special to them. The rip off mask + gold glove makes this my 1-1 bobblehead of the season.
#3 Ketel Marte Bat Flip Bobblehead (June 29 vs OAK)
Unfortunately there’s no picture of this bobblehead yet, but like mentioned before, I like the bobbleheads with a twist. Will the bat be its own bobble making it look like a flip? The Ketel Marte switch hitting bobblehead is my favorite of in the Torey Lovullo era. Also a nice touch that it’s NLCS MVP themed, and there’s plenty of bat flips from the playoff run to be inspired by.
#4 Corbin Carroll Rookie of the Year Bobblehead (March 30th vs COL)
Opening weekend we get a bobblehead commemorating Corbin Carroll’s 2023 Rookie of the Year season. Interestingly, he’s wearing the new white jersey in this one (Moreno’s bobblehead is in the now retired Serpientes jersey). We’re really splitting hairs here 2-4, I’m hyped for all 3.
#5 Alek Thomas T-Shirt (April 13th vs STL)
This may be the best t-shirt the Diamondbacks have handed out in YEARS. The first month of the season has some electric giveaways.
#6 Father’s Day Polo Shirt (June 16th vs CHW)
The Father’s Day Hawaiian shirt has become a tradition, and this year there’s a new twist on it. It’s now a polo shirt! I like the design a lot too!
#7 Unnamed Gonzo/RJ DBacks HOF Item (July 27th vs PIT)
The Diamondbacks Hall of Fame was announced last year without a real description for what it will be. I hope it’s a way to honor former Diamondbacks who aren’t quite good enough to have their jersey retired but still be honored. Gonzo & RJ do have their jerseys retired, but would like to see a player or two each season get inducted, maybe have a throwback bobblehead night too? 2025 Brandon Webb Hall of Fame introduction night with a throwback bobblehead…. who says no??1
#8 Lourdes Gurriel Jr Star Wars Bobblehead (July 13th vs TOR)
Pro: Lourdes Gurriel getting a bobblehead against his former team rocks.
Con: I’m so over Star Wars bobbleheads, the Diamondbacks have done a lot of them already…
Pro: At least you don’t need to buy a special ticket anymore!
Con: Lourdes Gurriel really should have some sort of purple hair bobblehead or Pina Power theme.
#9 4 Homer Game Tee (June 15th vs CHW)
HOW IS THIS NOT A GIVEAWAY AGAINST THE DODGERS??? I’m not sure if this is the t-shirt design or not, but not handing this out against the Dodgers is a L.
IS SEDONA RED DEAD OR DOES THE PHOTOGRAPHER SUCK CATEGORY:
I’m not crazy about this shade of red. This bright red doesn’t match the shade of red in the new (or 2023 red) jerseys… don’t get me wrong give me all the NL Champ merch, but this isn’t Diamondback red like below.
Additionally the incorrect red appears to be on the Mexican Heritage night (May 18th vs DET) hat too. Which is a bummer because this hat would be fire with the red above.
NOTE: I left off the special event games. There’s a couple “special event” ticket games with hats or experiences, but only the free items I consider “giveaways”.
Overall the promotional calendar overall is amazing. It’s worth noting that here’s only a couple August & September giveaways announced, so there’s likely even more coming!2

Brandon Webb won a Cy Young Award, career 3.27 ERA with the DBacks (2003-09), deserves to be the 3rd member of the Diamondbacks Hall of Fame.
Last season the Corbin Carroll August bobblehead was announced in season.
