In a 150mil payroll optimized world, Dbacks sign a LHH DH to start against RHP, then have a decent RHH catcher to let Gabi DH against LHP.
It's not perfect, But the Twins are shopping Christian Vasquez. Could probably get the Twins to eat half his 2/20 salary in exchange for Kyle Nelson or Blake Walston. That likely leaves enough budget to still add one of Pederson/Brantley/Belt, which really allows the team max optimization vs LHP and RHP.
I still think the dream DH scenario is JD Martinez. Tucker Barnhart being a LH bat really does lock Moreno into vs LHP starts behind the dish. You probably can't trade Kyle Nelson for anything, but Blake Walston could be enough to get a team to eat some money too. My fear with Walston is that his stuff isnt great, some low K/9's in AAA.
Brandon Belt fits the Longoria type fit of a cheap vet bat that's good as long as they're healthy. Longo 1H/2H splits are pretty drastic, that mid season back injury sapped everything. Joc Pederson is interesting but i don't know if they want another LH OF.
