Well that sucked.
The 2024 Arizona Diamondbacks choked away a playoff spot with a brutal September collapse that honestly is not very fun to write about. This is largely the reason for not posting on here in 2 months. My last article was at the trade deadline hyping up trading for AJ Puk and dumping cold water on the Devision De Los Santos hype train.
It’s tough to write during the season since 1) things change so quickly when you play everyday 2) I’m more locked in on the day to day games (and the GoldyHappens Twitter) vs big picture/future topics. But the offseason is here and this post is to let you know, BIG THINGS ARE COMING ON THE GOLDY HAPPENS SUBSTACK.
THE VAULT (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
This section of my SubStack will be for everything throwback. I’m trying to collect as many old Diamondbacks and Chase Field/Bank One Ballpark photos to just store here. A fun walk down memory lane. Other articles highlighting old Diamondbacks will be stored here soon like:
-Every top 100 DBacks prospect EVER
-The entire Rule 5 Draft history of the Diamondbacks
And so much more!
GOLDY HAPPENS DIAMONDBACKS PROSPECT RANKINGS
My original version was made before the season, it’s time for an update. I’m planning on making it out to a couple Arizona Fall League games this October too. Last year I went to Spring Breakout game and got a really good look at Yilber Diaz and Justin Martinez and highlighted how electric they looked.
TRADE/SIGNINGS/MOVES ANALYSIS
I mean if I don’t write about a trade or free agent signing what is the point of having a Diamondbacks blog? Here’s my article last year being HYPED about signing Joc Pederson (W).

The Arizona Diamondbacks have a very challenging offseason ahead with C Walk and Joc being free agent, the entire pitching staff in ruins and plenty of arbitration eligible players with looming decisions to be made. There will be plenty to write about this offseason!
SubStack is constantly adding new features and tools, so stayed tuned this Winter for plenty of new things!
